This Global IP Law Service web site (the “Site”) is operated by Equerion Information Services Corporation (“Equerion”). The name Global IP Law Service, as well as the logos, service marks, trademarks and trade dress, branding of the Site (the “Branding”) are used under license from LexisNexis, a division of Reed Elsevier Inc. (“LexisNexis”). LexisNexis also holds all right, title and interest in and to the look and feel and other intellectual property on this Site. (Notwithstanding the foregoing, Equerion is solely liable for the Site, the content provided on this Site and the Global IP Law Service).

All use of the Site and the Global IP Law Service is subject to the following Terms and Conditions of use. We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions of use and the Global IP Law Service periodically without prior notice.

Use of Global IP Law Service
1. You may view, download, and print content obtained through the Global IP Law Service available on the Site (the “Content”) subject to the following conditions: (a) the Content may be used solely for informational purposes; and (b) the Content may not be modified or altered in any way. You may not republish, distribute, prepare derivative work, or otherwise use the Content other than as explicitly permitted herein.

3. You do not acquire any ownership rights to any Content. Equerion or its third party suppliers retain all right, title and interest in and to the Content and the Site. Equerion may immediately terminate your access to the Site in the event of any unauthorized use or breach of these Terms and Conditions of use. Only individuals authorized by the subscribing organization may access and use the Global IP Law Service.

4. The Global IP Law Service does not constitute legal advice and no attorney-client relationship is formed by use of the Global IP Law Service. Even though care is used to verify the accuracy of the Content, Equerion assumes no liability for any inaccuracies that may occur therein. Your use of the Content or materials linked from this Site is at your own risk.

5. You may submit comments on the Site and provide other information so long as such information or comments (the “Subscriber Content”) is not obscene, illegal, threatening, or defamatory and provided that it does not invade the privacy or infringe intellectual property rights of a third party. Furthermore, any such Subscriber Content may not contain software viruses, mass mailings, chain letters, or any form of ‘spam’. You may not use a false email address, impersonate any person or entity, or otherwise act in a misleading way as to the origin of the information. By submitting Subscriber Content, you grant Equerion a nonexclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, and fully sub licensable right to reproduce, use, modify, publish, adapt, translate, create derivative work from, distribute, and display such Subscriber Content throughout the world in any media. By submitting Subscriber Content you also represent and warrant that all such content is accurate; you own or have permission to use the Subscriber Content you submit; and that use of the Subscriber Content by Equerion in the form in which it was submitted on the Site will not cause injury to any person or entity.

Other Branding and any other service marks, trademarks and trade dress may not be used in any manner that is likely to cause confusion among customers, in any manner that disparages or discredits LexisNexis, Equerion or its third party suppliers and in connection with any service or product that is not sponsored, endorsed or produced by Global IP Law Service. All other trademarks not owned by LexisNexis or its affiliated companies, or Equerion or its subsidiaries that appear on this Site are the property of their respective owners, who may or may not be affiliated with, connected to, or sponsored by Equerion or its subsidiaries.

Applicable Laws

Remedies in case of violation

14.2. Each third party supplier of Equerion has the right to assert and enforce these provisions directly on its own behalf as a third party beneficiary.

Additional Terms
15. The 96-hour fee information service provided on the Site is an extra free service exclusive for subscribers of the Site. Equerion does not guarantee that the 96-hour fee information service will be able to supply the requested information. Equerion is not responsible for the information provided and does not guarantee that the specified fees are correct and/or updated. Equerion provides fee information from official sources. These fees include trademark duration and renewal requirements, requirements for filing, maintenance fees for patent annuities and there are only applicable to trademarks and patents (of invention) for certain countries.
